MSL Chinese New Year Party 2020

Happy Year of the Rat!

 

In the bright and sunny afternoon of 17th Jan 2020, we commenced the MSL Chinese New Year (CNY) Party with a dumplings workshop.


Dumplings are traditionally savoured during the CNY in China. It is an opportunity for family and friends to gather and make them by hand, and eat them afterwards. And that was just what we had done!


We were taught by multiple expert teachers (colleagues from MSL) to make the wrappings from flour, roll them flat, fill them up with meat and vegetables, and finish off with various styles of pinching on the edges.



The workshop was followed by a buffet dinner that included poon choi (盆菜), which is a traditional CNY food in Hong Kong.


Great to have all smiles to start off the Year of the Rat!
